Jen McHenry has been a member of the Innovation Focus team since 2009. Her keen organizational ability and collaborative managerial style makes her a welcome team member on any project. She works on Innovation Focus’ market research and new product innovation projects as a sales person, process designer, project manager, and report writer.
She is primarily focused on managing research projects using ethnography (in situ research), focus groups and surveys. Jen supports in new product development projects with management and facilitation of innovation sessions (large scale brainstorming and beginning concept development) for our clients. She is responsible for overseeing logistical operations, content creation and data analysis from the proposal to final report writing process. Jen is experienced in recruiting; interviewing; and writing screeners, discussion guides, surveys and other materials used in the research process. She is also experienced in leading teams into the field and performing lead interviewer, note taker, and videographer roles. Also, leading teams in the debrief and data analysis process. She has video editing experience and has mined research video to create video montages to support our clients' report out and continuing sales efforts.
Jen is always working on internal writing projects including our monthly e-newsletter, case studies, copy for our website, and the revision of the updated version of our ethnography training manual. Jen earned a B.S. in Communication Research from Millersville University and worked in marketing, office and retail management before joining the team at Innovation Focus. Jen is mom to a gregarious baby boy, Paul, and is enjoying adjusting to the new role as parent with her husband, Mike. She enjoys outdoor activities, fitness, and cooking for her family and friends.
