Anne Orban is a Director of Discovery & Innovation at Innovation Focus Inc. Anne is a certified new product development professional. She is a process designer and facilitator for new product/service development projects for which she customizes Innovation Focus's Hunting for Hunting for Hunting Grounds, Discovery and Innovation, Slingshot Group, and Focused Innovation Technique products. She is skilled as a qualitative market researcher including techniques for consumer immersion ethnography and focus group moderation.
Anne uses her experience in new product development at the front end of innovation to help B2B and B2C companies grow through releasing the creative potential of their people. Her commitment to people-centered growth has been enhanced by a graduate degree in adult training and organization development that includes understanding how adults learn, how to manage the dynamics of team development, and how to improve the effectiveness and productivity of teams. Anne's activity in adult learning in the global context includes skills in cross-cultural decoding and unstructured and structured creativity.
Anne’s contribution to the field of new product development includes published articles in the Product Development and Management Association’s (PDMA) Visions magazine and chapters in the PDMA’s ToolBook 3 and in New Product Development Essentials from the PDMA: Open Innovation both published by Wiley. She has completed the maximum number of terms on the Board of Directors of the PDMA as Vice President for Events and has chaired the PDMA’s Annual Conference during that time. Anne has also been active on the executive planning team for the Institute for the Study of Business Markets (ISBM) New Offering Realization Consortium, a B2B initiative of Penn State’s Smeal College of Business. Anne successfully launched Leadership Lancaster as its first Executive Director and has also undertaken many activities as a community volunteer.
